Indigenous Business Start-up Workshop – Cooktown

February 20 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm AEST

Investing time into proper planning is key to turning your dreams into reality. Planning is very important when setting up your business and can improve the likelihood of success.

To operate a small business successfully you will need to have the necessary management skills, industry expertise, technical skills, finance and of course, a long-term vision to grow and succeed. IBA runs workshops for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have well-researched business proposals and are ready to start their own business. Business specialists will assist participants during the workshop to investigate and apply key marketing concepts, finance and general management to strengthen your business proposal.

Learn about what a financier or investor looks for in a proposal and what they will expect from an embryonic business. Expect to leave the workshop with a clearer, more refined business model that will better assist your business pitch to lenders, partners or investors as well as to understand the next steps towards launching your business!
