indepenDANCE 2019 – EOIs CLOSE
As proud members of Queensland’s independent dance community, Phluxus2 Dance Collective know it is vital for artists to collaborate, investigate and challenge practice. Six years after the inaugural indepenDANCE project, the 2019 round of applications are proudly announced as open to expressions of interest.
indepenDANCE will offer up to six choreographers, dancers and other creatives access to space, equipment and daily training to create, explore, share, shatter and collaborate on new work in a creative development intensive, culminating in an open studio showing of their discoveries. Challenging artists to think outside the square, the project will be looking for ideas that stand out from the crowd, take risks and offer unique visions. IndepenDANCE will also provide training and mentoring opportunities with leading artists such as Nerida Matthaei in the creation of their new work and questioning of the artistic process.
